Sacred Junction
I turned and looked for what I had heard
walking the path from busy to stillness
was it a deer, a squirrel, or maybe a bird
or was it perhaps the exit of illness
Such wilderness awaits my waking senses
as I shift from a place of dysfunction
no longer a slave to my pretenses
I journey toward a Sacred Junction
One way leads back to what has been
the other surely to what will be
knowing the worth of what I have seen
the fruits of my labour do fill me
I choose the trail less traveled
one that no mortal toe has touched
No human eye as unraveled
it's beauty no earthling has clutched
For I am in the realm of my Sanctuary
as I step on the stones they sing
and as my heart get's closer to January
I trust what the New Year will bring
